UPCOMING CARS AND BIKES

  • ROYAL ENFIELD CONTINENTAL GT

    HYUNDAI IX25

Another car that is of huge interest for the Indian auto enthusiasts and prospective buyers is the first compact SUV coming from India's second largest car manufacturer Hyundai. Yes, compact SUVs or crossovers have really taken the Indian car market by storm with the Duster reducing its competition to dust first and then the EcoSport simply blowing away people's imagination with its futuristic features, sheer practicality, and killer pricing. Hyundai is all set to launch ix25, which was first showcased at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. We all know Hyundai is well known to completely packing its cars with never heard of and never seen before features. While it looks like a baby Santa Fe, I am sure Hyundai with the ix25 is going to set a new benchmark in the compact SUV segment here in India.

    RENAULT KWID

Two years ago, Renault introduced a whole new breed of cars to the Indian car market in the form of the Duster, making it India's first affordable compact SUV. Its imposing and remarkable road presence, a roomy cabin for five, and a pleasurable driving experience made it an instant hit and it was almost like "love at first sight" for us the Indian audience. However, all this changed with the launch of the EcoSport, which came across as a miracle with loads of features, superb driving dynamics, and most importantly a jaw dropping price tag. It wasn't long before many took to the EcoSport, reducing the super success of the Duster back to sheer dust. Renault, however, stunned the world when they showcased the Kwid concept at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. It looks absolutely stunning and yes it is a sub-4 meter SUV like the EcoSport and is expected to hit the Indian shores in late 2015 or maybe even in 2016. Get ready because the emperor is all set to strike back!

  • BAJAJ PULSAR 400 SS

    BAJAJ PULSAR 400 SS

Bajaj has always been the game changer and a manufacturer who has set new standards and benchmarks while daring others to parallel. We all know and are even fed up with an overdose of spy shots all over the net for the past few months of the fully faired Pulsar. Well, the auto expo just spilled the beans where BAL showcased the Energica replica Pulsar 400 SS (Super Sport), and boy does it look stunning. The detailing and the fit and finish looks much better compared to that of the current Pulsars in the market. There is no particular launch date or pricing yet announced officially, but we expect it to hit the road half way through 2014.

  • BAJAJ PULSAR 400 CS

    BAJAJ PULSAR 400 CS

Now this is why Bajaj is freakingly anticipated upon whenever they announce about a launch – they just never cease to surprise us. Like a magician they almost seem to have some trick up their sleeve that makes us enthusiasts fall for them again and again. One such trick this time was the showcasing of the 400 CS (Cruise Sport). When BAL had earlier announced that they were going to unveil a cruiser at the auto expo, everyone expected a refreshed Avenger, but what we see here is taking Indian motorcycling to the next level again – a sports cruiser. I personally feel it is more of a tourer than a cruiser, more in the lines of the Suzuki Inazuma. Nevertheless, it is a welcome change and another jaw dropper from Bajaj. In fact, the CS has managed to win more hearts than the SS among the enthusiasts, at least for now.
