1.  HTC Desire 620G – Price around Rs. 14,200

Pros:  1.7 GHz Mediatek Octa-Core processor – superb gaming experience, runs games like Asphalt 8 and Dead trigger 2 in high graphic settings without any issues; multitasks with ease.  1 GB RAM is decent enough.  Phone does not heat up all that much.  Good battery life with 2100 mAh battery.  Camera though 8 mp works pretty well.

Cons:  Glossy finish.  Display of 720p is also decent enough, not Full HD though.  8 GB ROM, could have come with 16 GB ROM.  Cannot move apps to SD card.

2.  Samsung S3 Neo – Price Rs. 12,500

Pros:  4.8 inch Super AMOLED display with superb clarity keeps you hooked all day.  Dual SIM phone, 1.5 GB of RAM and 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor offer decent performance – can play basic games effortlessly and heavy games at least in medium graphic settings, plus great multi-tasking.  Ergonomic design to offer good grip and great style.  8 mp rear camera and 1.9 mp front camera clicks decent pics and offers decent video chat experience, records video at 30 fps.  Smart features like Pop Up Play (watch videos and chat at the same time) and Smart Stay (screen does not shut off while you are looking at the screen and also offer better brightness).  Great battery life with 2100 mAh battery.  16 GB internal memory expandable up to 64 GB – more than adequate storage.  Competitive pricing.

Cons:  Android Jelly Bean OS upgradeable, could have come with Kit-Kat out of the box.  No Gorilla glass.

Pros:  2 GB RAM, 1.6 Ghz Intel Dual Core Processor, and PowerVR GPU mean business and offer superb gaming and seamless multitasking experience, can play graphic intensive games like asphalt 8, modern combat 5 easily; 5 inches IPS display with 1280x720 pixel resolution and 294 ppi pixel density, aided by Asus TruVivid technology so get immersed in life like images on the screen; great build quality with Corning Gorilla glass 3, which is scratch resistant; great viewing angles, can play HD videos, great touch response; Zen UI looks fresh with good customization; sleek design; audio quality is great.

Cons:  Battery life could be better; capacitive touch buttons with no backlighting; Jelly Bean OS, Kit-Kat would have been better.

Pros:  1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Quad Core Processor, 1 GB RAM, Android 4.4 Kitkat, 5 inches HD display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 2070 mAh HD video recording, plays full HD videos, 854 x 480 pixels IPS display, good for gaming - plays games like Dead Trigger 2, Asphalt 8, etc., without any lag, does not heat up too much, great sound quality with twin front speaker setup and stereo sound, very compact despite coming with a 5 inch screen, does have a micro SD slot with expandable memory up to 32 GB.

Cons:  Battery backup could be better, requires more time to get fully charged, 8 MP Primary Camera clicks decent snaps, but could be better, and 2 MP Secondary Camera is just okay, could be better 13 mp rear camera and 5 mp front camera.

Pros:  Great design and looks with In-Mould labeling.  5-inch Full HD 1080P 441 PPI IPS Screen, superb clarity and  life like images.  2 GHz True Octa Core Processor offers seamless multi-tasking and superb gaming experience; can play graphic intensive games like Asphalt 8  effortlessly.  Free JBL Headphones, really best in the business when it comes to sound equipment.  Gorilla Glass 2 Protection.  16 GB Internal Memory more than adequate.  13.1 MP Primary Camera and 2 MP Front Camera, great snaps and video recording at 30 fps with 1080p resolution. 

Cons:  Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, should come with Kit-Kat OS out of the box, but the update works.  Battery backup could be better.  Does heat up a fair bit.
